Spaghetti with Mussels

Spaghetti with frozen and already shelled mussels, bought at the frozen food store, a shop that has always helped those in the kitchen with very little time or skill among the stoves. The wonderful thing is that everything is already cleaned, like fish, which, let’s face it, is one of the many reasons why it’s consumed less. I am the first, but what’s nice is that even in the fish market, with a lot of goodwill, you buy the fish, and they clean it willingly. Shelled mussels have the prerogative of being used immediately, without having to spend hours cleaning the bivalves. This shell consists of two separate valves held together by an elastic ligament, hence the name bivalves. In summer and on vacation, one is more inclined towards good and long cooking, but returning home, one is more practical and quick. Mussels are part of the shellfish family, just like oysters, clams, scallops, and many others.

My name is Pina, and my passion is food and cooking in general. On the blog, I focus on regional dishes like those from my birthplace, Sicily. I also feature dishes from Lazio, the region that has hosted me for over 40 years, but in general, I cover all Italian regions. Traveling and exploring is my second passion, so I couldn't leave out dishes from around the "World" on my blog. My blog is divided into simple and essential sections like appetizers, first courses, main courses, side dishes, bread and leavened products, jams and preserves, wines and wineries, and of course, travels. Desserts are included, and finally, there is a dedicated corner for gluten-free options. Easy recipes, explained step by step and always updated.
