Yes!… Let’s start thinking about Christmas gifts… Among my favorites are cookies.
You can make them to suit every taste, and decorate them with colored sugar as you wish.
I made a shortcrust pastry and cut out various shapes; the base can also be prepared the day before so you can decorate them leisurely. The work becomes smoother and if you prepare them with children, it’s instantly a party.
On this occasion, I present some decorations, but creativity knows no limits, so go wild with colors and decorations.

Ingredients
The shortcrust pastry is unique, so the ingredients are programmable, be a little flexible with the decorations because if you play like I do, you’ll enjoy creating.
- 4 cups flour
- 1.1 cups butter
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 egg white
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 pinches vanilla flavoring (Cinnamon lemon or orange)
- 2 egg whites
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 3.5 oz dark chocolate
- 3 food colorings
- 3/4 cup custard (I used yogurt cream)
Tools
Choose the shapes you like the most
- Cookie Cutters
- Pastry Board
- Rolling Pin
Steps
Cut the butter into pieces
Combine all the ingredients and knead. Make a ball and leave it in the fridge for 30 minutes
After the time has elapsed, roll out the pastry on the pastry board
Use the cookie cutters to cut out shapes… I also made baskets
Creative shapes. Bake for about 10 minutes in a hot oven at 356°F
Result of the pastry after baking. I prefer them crispy; if you want them softer, take them out a few minutes earlier
Prepare the glaze. Whip the egg whites with a pinch of salt and towards the end add the powdered sugar little by little
Color it as you wish
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler with a little bit of milk
Fill the baskets with cream and fruit. For Christmas, pomegranate and tangerines
Decorate the trees with the cones…
…The stars covered first with chocolate
Glazed stars
Finished baskets with powdered sugar
Delicious sticks… Let the glaze dry and they’re ready.
They keep for 2 or 3 days…
