Sponge Cake Recipe

With sponge cake, we have an important base for many cakes or desserts…

The cost is very low; it just requires a lot of patience.

The texture depends on the weight of the ingredients…

We have the light sponge cake, as per the ingredients below

medium sponge cake with 40 grams of flour and sugar per egg used

and heavy sponge cake…with 50 grams of flour and sugar for each egg

To get a good base, use a weak flour for cookies From 160 W to 180 W

The weight of the sugar increases along with that of the flour

I use the sponge cake for layered cakes, fruit cakes, or as a base for Bavarian creams; the possibilities are endless.

Ingredients

Flour, sugar, and eggs to make a multi-purpose base!

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 7/8 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs

Tools

Electric whisks or stand mixer. If you want to treat yourself, I recommend the Kitchen

Steps

  • Pour the sugar and eggs into the stand mixer bowl or any bowl

  • Start and whip the two ingredients into a foam, work the mixture for at least ten minutes

  • When ready, add the flour, reducing the speed of the whisks

  • Stir with a spatula to thoroughly mix the flour left at the edges

  • Pour into the mold, in this case, I used a silicone mold round inches

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes

The sponge cake keeps at room temperature, if it dries out, just soak it more carefully, the cake result will still be positive
