This amamela cake is a joy to eat! A very simple shortcrust pastry cake filled with apples and amaretti, deliciously balanced, perfect for a snack or breakfast, made with very simple ingredients and truly delicious.
The crumbly pastry melts in your mouth, the aroma of amaretti blends with the apples creating a unique delicacy, the amamela cake, made of amaretti and apple, without cream, is perfect as it is in its simplicity.

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 7 tbsp butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- lemon zest
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 Golden apple
- 1/4 cup milk
Steps
Knead the pastry by hand or with a processor, put all the ingredients in a bowl and work them, forming a dough ball, no need to refrigerate.
Roll out 2/3 of the dough with a rolling pin on parchment paper and place it in a 9-inch pan leaving a border about 1 1/2 inches high.
Arrange the apple sliced thinly, sprinkle with some sugar, and cover with whole amaretti quickly dipped in milk.
Roll out the remaining pastry on parchment paper and place it over the pie to cover the filling, then using the paper fold the edges.
With the Thermomix: put lemon zest and sugar in the bowl, 20 sec, speed 7, add flour, eggs, butter, and baking powder: 1 min, speed 5.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 30 minutes, until golden.
