It prepares in a short time with a shortcrust pastry very similar to that of German cookies, I liked it a lot, so you will need flour, egg yolks, sugar, and butter for the base, apples, jam, and amaretti to fill.

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 apple
  • 10 amaretti cookies
  • 4 tablespoons apricot jam

Steps

  • Prepare the shortcrust pastry, pour the flour into a bowl or the food processor, add the sugar, the yolks, a pinch of salt, the diced butter, and, if desired, grated lemon zest.

  • Quickly work the ingredients, make a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and let it rest for 30 minutes in the fridge.

  • After the time has passed, take the dough from the fridge and divide it in half, roll out one part in a 8-inch tart pan, and spread the jam.

  • Cut the apple into pieces and add it on the shortcrust shell, then crumble the amaretti and cover with the other half of the dough.

  • Seal the edges, pierce with a fork, bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 25-30 minutes, or in the air fryer as I did, at 356°F for 15-20 minutes.

  • Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and cut into slices or wedges if placed in a round pan, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
