Coffee and Chocolate Semifreddo Brick

Ingredients

  • 3 egg whites
  • 2 tbsp confectioners' sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp instant coffee
  • 5.3 oz dark chocolate
  • 3.4 tbsp milk

Steps

  • Melt the chocolate in a double boiler with the milk and set aside.

  • Beat the egg whites with an electric mixer, then add the confectioners’ sugar and beat a bit more.

  • Whip the cream with the instant coffee, then add the egg whites and fold in.

  • Line half a small loaf pan and make a first layer of cream, then make a thin layer of chocolate and repeat until all ingredients are used up.

  • Place the dessert in the freezer for at least an hour.
