COFFEE-FILLED CHOCOLATE EGGS, a simple and indulgent spoon dessert for Easter, perfect to reuse small chocolate eggs, filled with whipped cream and cream cheese in an easy and tasty way.

I had a lot of little chocolate eggs to finish and zero desire to make complicated desserts, so I made these COFFEE-FILLED CHOCOLATE EGGS… and they turned out to be a bomb 😍 Creamy, indulgent and perfect for reusing all that chocolate left after Easter.

The great thing about COFFEE-FILLED CHOCOLATE EGGS is that they take only a few minutes: make the cream, fill them and put in the fridge. That’s it. Perfect as a dessert after lunch or dinner, but also as a clever sweet when you have guests and want something spectacular without too much effort.

Ingredients

  • 40 oz cocoa cookies ((about 1.41 oz crushed))
  • 210 oz butter (about 7.41 oz (≈15 tbsp, just under 1 cup))
  • 1 tsp coffee (brewed)
  • 2 chocolate eggs
  • 80 oz soft cheese (cream cheese (Philadelphia) or mascarpone — about 2.82 oz (≈1/3 cup))
  • 40 fl oz heavy cream (about 1.35 fl oz (≈2 3/4 tbsp))
  • 25 oz powdered sugar (about 0.88 oz (≈3 tbsp))
  • 1 tbsp instant coffee
  • chopped hazelnuts

Steps

  • Prepare the moka coffee and let it cool. Then mix the cookies with the melted butter and the coffee until you obtain a sandy, moist mixture. Put a small layer into the chocolate eggs and compact it.

  • Whip the cream with the cream cheese, the powdered sugar and the instant coffee or the moka coffee; use a piping bag to fill the eggs.

  • Decorate with chopped hazelnuts and refrigerate until serving time.
