Cold Tuna and Philadelphia Sandwich Rolls

COLD TUNA AND PHILADELPHIA SANDWICH ROLLS, an easy and quick appetizer to make in 10 minutes, a fresh and pleasant summer menu idea with no cooking required.

Simple and delicious, the cold tuna and Philadelphia sandwich rolls are a simple appetizer that is prepared in no time and is delicious, ideal also for an outdoor buffet.

For the recipe of the sandwich rolls obviously not many explanations are needed, prepare the mousse and fill the bread all in a short time, obviously then they are kept in the fridge for a while before being served.

The tuna and Philadelphia mousse is perfect with the bread but you can vary the recipe using ricotta or robiola, stracchino, great spreadable cheeses perfect for sandwiches.

Cold Sandwich Bread Roll-Ups with Tuna and Philadelphia

Ingredients

  • 1 slice sandwich bread
  • 2.8 oz tuna in water (or with oil)
  • 3.5 oz Philadelphia cheese (or ricotta)
  • salt
  • pepper
  • to taste arugula

Preparation

You can replace Philadelphia with ricotta, even light, or another spreadable cheese like robiola or stracchino.

  • Place the cheese in a bowl with salt and pepper to taste and work with a fork.

  • Add the tuna and work a little more.

  • Wash the arugula, pat it dry, and add it to the mousse, mix again.

  • Place the bread on the surface and press it down a little, using your fingers, no rolling pin is needed.

  • Spread the filling well all the way to the edges then roll up without squeezing too much and remove the excess mousse.

  • Wrap the roll in plastic wrap and place in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.

  • Remove from the freezer and cut into 3 parts, tie with chives and arrange the sandwich rolls on the serving plate.
