Ingredients

  • 10 cups coffee
  • 1 1/4 cups fresh liquid cream
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 7 oz pure alcohol (at 95°)
  • 1 packet vanillin

Steps

  • Make the espresso and let it cool completely.

  • In a saucepan, heat the cream with the sugar and vanilla. Stir until the sugar dissolves, without bringing to a boil, then turn off and let cool.

  • When both are cold, mix the coffee into the cream.

  • Only when the mixture is completely cold, pour in the alcohol and mix well.

  • Transfer to a glass bottle and let it rest in the fridge for at least 3 days, shaking occasionally.

It keeps in the refrigerator for 1–2 months.
Always shake before serving: it doesn’t contain thickeners and may separate slightly.

Tips
For an even more velvety texture, you can strain the liqueur before bottling it.
For a more intense flavor, increase the coffee to 350 ml and slightly reduce the cream.

Use strong coffee for a more intense aroma.
If you want a more alcoholic liqueur, slightly increase the amount of pure alcohol.
If you prefer a thicker liqueur, add a bit of cream or let it rest in the fridge overnight.
