Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry (round or rectangular)
  • 4.4 oz custard (orange-flavored)
  • 1 cup apple

Preparation

  • Prepare the orange-flavored custard HERE

  • Peel and chop the apple into small pieces, if you prepare it in advance, spray it with lemon juice.

  • Cut the puff pastry into a shape of 4 inches; with a round pastry, you will only make 2 donuts, you can use a smaller shape if you prefer.

  • Make a hole in the center, fill it with custard and apple pieces, keeping within the half-inch border.

  • Close with another puff pastry, seal the edges well and then fold them underneath.

  • Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with granulated sugar.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 10-12 minutes, they should be golden.
