Dried Fruit and Honey Cookies

Delicious, crispy, and truly tasty dried fruit cookies, they are prepared with a simple hand dough or with a robot, perfect for dipping in milk, a real delight.

The recipe for dried fruit cookies is really simple, they are good for dipping in milk or dipping in vin santo, not too sweet, they melt in your mouth rich in almonds and hazelnuts.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup almonds
  • 1/4 cup hazelnuts
  • 3 tbsp dried cranberries
  • 3 tbsp raisins
  • 1 orange zest
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Steps

  • Pour the flour with the baking powder and sugar in a bowl, then mix and add the grated zest of a small or medium orange.

  • Add the egg and butter, work a little to combine the butter, add the raisins, berries, and dried fruit then work the ingredients well.

  • The dough is soft and sticky, flour your hands and make a loaf on the baking sheet lined with paper.

  • The loaf is about 3 inches wide, then make 2 smaller ones, bake in the hot oven at 350°F for 15 minutes.

  • Remove from oven, cut into 10 or more pieces, spread them out and put back in the oven for another 5 minutes.
