Buffet focaccine are super tasty, prepared in just a few minutes with a simple dough of flour, water, and oil with the addition of instant yeast. They are formed and cooked in the oven or in a pan.

Buffet focaccine are great stuffed in all sorts of ways. I enriched them with salami, stracchino, and salad but you can have fun stuffing them as you like, excellent with arugula, parmesan, and bresaola or with salmon and salad, perfect with ham and provolone for the little ones, they are a hit.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 7 tbsp water
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp instant yeast for savory recipes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 10 slices Neapolitan salami
  • 2.8 oz stracchino cheese
  • salad

Steps

  • Pour the flour into a bowl, add the oil, yeast, salt, mix and gradually add the water.

  • The mixture should not be sticky, so add a bit of flour if needed.

  • Move to the work surface, roll out the dough to a height of 1/6-1/5 inch and cut with a 2.75-inch cutter or a glass.

  • Heat the oil in a pan and cook the focaccine with a closed lid, turning them.

  • Alternatively, bake in the oven at 350°F for 15 minutes or use the air fryer.

  • Let them cool slightly and split them in half, stuff with stracchino, salami slices, and salad or as you prefer.
