If you like mojito and fresh desserts, this mojito mousse is just what you need! It’s very easy and quick to make, no oven and no eggs, with whipped cream, lime, fresh mint, and a touch of rum for the true Cuban flavor.

The cream is soft, fragrant, and light, perfect to enjoy in small glasses after lunch or for a summer snack. If you don’t want alcohol, no worries: just replace the rum with rum extract or leave it out.

The mojito mousse is prepared in 10 minutes, put in the fridge and becomes an irresistible dessert. Try it decorated with mint leaves and lime zest, it has become my favorite spoon dessert!

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups heavy cream
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 5 leaves mint
  • 1 tablespoon white rum

Steps

  • Place mint leaves with sugar and lime juice and the grated zest in a bowl and crush them well.

  • Add the rum, mix, and set aside.

  • Whip the cream with a hand mixer, I recommend using vegetable cream, it’s better for the recipe.

  • Add the filtered juice, mix and pour into cups, decorate with lime slices and mint leaves.

  • Keep in the fridge for an hour before serving.
