Homemade apple liqueur

Ingredients

  • 6 Annurca apples (or your preference)
  • 1 l pure alcohol
  • 1 l water
  • 5 oz sugar
  • 6 slices orange

Steps

  • Thoroughly wash the apples and oranges and dry them with a clean cloth.

  • Peel them and place the peels in a container, cut the apples into chunks, remove the core and inner parts but keep the seeds aside.

  • Put the seeds and apples in the bowl, the orange slices, add the alcohol and transfer everything to an airtight container.

  • Shake the container to mix all the ingredients, cover with aluminum foil and store in a dark place.

  • Shake the container every day for 15 days.

  • Put the sugar and water in a small pot and let it melt until a syrup forms.

  • Strain everything and add the liqueur to the sugar while it is still warm, stir well and transfer to bottles, let rest for 5 days before serving.

  • Keep in the fridge once opened or in a dark place.
