Lasagna Roses with Ham and Cheese

LASAGNA ROSES with HAM and CHEESE, a simple and tasty recipe with homemade pasta, ideal for Sunday, a delicious baked main dish.

Easy to prepare, the lasagna roses are delightful, made with homemade pasta sheets and filled with ham and cheese, just the way my daughter likes them, they are the top choice.

The lasagna roses recipe is very simple, you prepare the pasta sheet and fill it as you like, of course, you can buy dry lasagna, cook it, and then fill it to bake it.

Honestly, I prefer homemade pasta sheets; it doesn’t take long to knead it by hand or with a mixer, and it’s tastier too.

Obviously, you can fill them as you prefer, and if you don’t like béchamel, a simple meat sauce or tomato sauce will do, or make the classic lasagna sheet.

Follow me in the kitchen, today there are the lasagna roses with ham and cheese!

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour (or semolina)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup béchamel sauce
  • 7 oz ham
  • 5 oz mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmigiano Reggiano DOP

Preparation

  • Prepare the pasta sheet, pour the flour into the mixer or a bowl, add the water and a pinch of salt, work the ingredients.

  • Take the dough and let it rest while you prepare the béchamel sauce HERE

  • Roll out the dough into a thin sheet of about 1/16 inch and cut a rectangle roughly 8 inches wide (it will be the size of the pasta roll).

  • Fill with slices of ham, Parmigiano, and crumbled mozzarella.

  • Roll up the sheet and cut into rolls of about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches, you should get about 12 rolls, a dish for two people.

  • Grease an ovenproof dish and place the rolls, add the béchamel, a bit of breadcrumbs, and a little oil.

  • Bake in a hot oven at 390°F for 10 minutes, then lower to 350°F for another 10-15 minutes.
