MANDARIN DONUTS, butter cookies that are fragrant and aromatic, perfect for breakfast or snack for both adults and children, without yeast, great for milk.
I had quite a few mandarins from my tree and wanted to make some simple cookies, the kind you eat one after another. These mandarin donuts are just like that: homemade cookies with a citrus aroma, crumbly, with the natural taste of mandarin juice and zest. They are perfect as breakfast cookies, ideal for a snack, and great to dunk in milk or tea.
The beautiful thing is that they are yeast-free donuts, so no waiting time and a super rustic result. The butter dough remains soft, the mandarin cookies bake quickly in the oven and fill the kitchen with aroma. They are classic simple homemade cookies that children love but are also enjoyed by adults, perhaps with coffee.

Useful Tips
If you want a more intense aroma, use only untreated mandarins and add the grated zest well. For even more crumbly cookies, do not overwork the dough. The mandarin donuts can be stored for several days in a tin box and are perfect for last-minute breakfast.
