Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup Nutella®
  • 1/3 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • 1/8 cup whole hazelnuts
  • 3 1/2 oz 60% dark chocolate
  • 1/4 cup milk

Steps

  • Prepare the shortcrust pastry, by hand or with a food processor, add the flour to a bowl, add the baking powder, sugar, butter pieces, egg, and salt, knead well, wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge.

  • Melt the chocolate with the milk in a bain-marie and let it cool slightly.

  • When the chocolate is ready, take the pastry and roll it out on a floured surface to a 1/8 inch thick rectangle.

  • Fill with Nutella, add the chopped hazelnuts and roll it up, place the roll on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for about 25 minutes, until golden brown.

  • Place the roll on a wire rack and cover with chocolate, add whole hazelnuts as decoration and cover with more chocolate.

  • Decorate with Nutella and let it set in the air or in the fridge.
