At this point, just twist them on themselves to get the true rustic pesto twists, ready to go into the oven or air fryer until they become crispy and golden.

- 1.5 cups flour (whichever you prefer)
- 0.5 cup water
- 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
- Half tsp salt
- 5 oz Genoese pesto
Steps
Pour the flour into a bowl, add the salt, oil, and water, knead well until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough.
Roll out the dough on the floured work surface, make a rectangle, and fill with the pesto then fold the dough in half.
Cut every 1-2 inches then take each piece and twist it on itself, arrange them on the baking sheet or in the fryer and cook at 350°F for 15 minutes, in the air fryer at 340°F for about 8 minutes, turning them.
