The piadipizza toast is a fake pizza made with flatbreads and sliced bread, staying soft inside thanks to the bread, tomato sauce, and mozzarella, and crispy outside due to the flatbreads and the cooking that can be easily done in the oven or an air fryer.
The piadipizza toast recipe is very simple, obviously you will need flatbreads, sliced bread or sandwich bread, and the filling you prefer. I used tomato sauce, which is usually available at home, and mozzarella, very simple, and it was loved by the ‘little one’ at home.

Ingredients
- 2 flatbreads
- 4 slices whole wheat sliced bread
- tomato sauce
- 5.3 oz buffalo mozzarella
Steps
Oil a pan or a baking tray, place a flatbread, and add the bread trying to cover all the spaces.
Stuff with tomato sauce, a drizzle of oil, and mozzarella cut into pieces.
Cover with the other flatbread and stuff again with a drizzle of oil, sauce, and mozzarella.
Cook on low heat for about 10 minutes or in the oven at 350°F (180°C) for 10-15 minutes.
A great alternative is the air fryer, cook at 340°F (170°C) for 7-8 minutes.
