PUFF PASTRY BASKETS WITH SALMON AND STRACCHINO, easy and quick appetizer for the holidays, a flash idea to make with puff pastry, a scenic appetizer for Christmas.
Perfect puff pastry baskets with salmon and stracchino, a tasty appetizer that is prepared in 5 minutes, ideal for Christmas Eve, perfect for a fish-based menu, economical and delicious.
The recipe for puff pastry baskets with salmon and stracchino is very simple, it doesn’t need much explanation, it’s very beautiful to see on the holiday table, a scenic appetizer with only 3 ingredients.
Almost everyone during the Christmas holidays buys salmon and many times you just don’t know how to present it on the table or what to pair it with, so I’ll reveal a little trick: puff pastry goes well with everything.
Just change the shape to make it more gourmet, more beautiful to look at and then it takes just a moment, I used stracchino because I like its creaminess.
But with stracchino, robiola or Philadelphia and all spreadable cheeses that do not have a too strong taste or smell to contrast that of salmon are also fine.
You can pair salmon with salad, with avocado for a more chic appetizer, or with zucchini or potatoes and HERE you can find many ideas with smoked salmon.

Ingredients
- 1 puff pastry
- 1.76 oz smoked salmon
- 1.06 oz stracchino cheese
Preparation
I used a round puff pastry from which you can get 5 circles of 4 inches, of course you can use rectangular pastry and make smaller baskets.
Cut the pastry with a 4-inch round cutter and place the circles inside a greased muffin pan.
Prick the pastry with a fork and bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 10 minutes.
Wash the salad and pat it dry well then cut the salmon into pieces or use a slice for each basket.
Remove the baskets from the oven and let them cool, then fill with salad leaves, a teaspoon of stracchino spread on one side, and the salmon.
Decorate with pink peppercorns. If you want to enrich the appetizer, you can spread mayonnaise inside the basket.
Bon appétit
