Of course, you can stuff it as you prefer, I chose what I had at home, vegetables, cold cuts, and cheese, but it’s perfectly fine if you prepare it using a mix of cold cuts and cheese.

Puff Pastry Crown Quick Appetizer

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry (round)
  • 7 oz cooked ham
  • 5 oz mozzarella
  • 1.1 lbs escarole (endive)

Steps

  • Wash the escarole well, then cook it with a little water for about 10 minutes, then drain and squeeze it well.

  • Place the puff pastry on the work surface, and starting from the center draw a cross but do not reach the edge of the pastry, keep 4 inches down.

  • Place the ham on the uncut part, fold the pastry all around a bit to create a border, add the vegetables and mozzarella pieces.

  • Take the tips of each triangle and bring them onto the filling to create a sort of star, sprinkle with oregano if you like, and bake in the preheated oven at 392°F.

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes.
