PUFF PASTRY PIE with EGGPLANT and provola cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 puff pastry
  • 2 eggplants
  • tomato sauce
  • 6 slices cooked ham
  • 7 oz provolone cheese

Steps

  • Cut the eggplants into slices and fry, roast, or grill them, as you prefer.

  • Drain well on kitchen paper.

  • Lay the puff pastry in a baking dish, fill the base with half of the cooked ham, then with slices of provolone cheese, eggplants, and top with a little tomato sauce.

  • Continue filling with ham and provolone cheese, then close with the other puff pastry, prick the surface to prevent it from puffing up too much.

  • Bake in the hot oven at 392°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, monitor the oven, the pastry should turn golden.
