Very simple and quick to prepare, the puff pastry with crescenza, served with slices of ham, is a really delicious snack, made and eaten they are even more flavorful.
The recipe for the puff pastry with crescenza is taken from a cookbook I liked right away, the original idea was with mortadella but I preferred to enrich them with ham.
They are very simple and go like hotcakes, one leads to another. If you don’t prefer crescenza, you can use ricotta or any other creamy cheese you prefer.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Half teaspoon instant yeast for savory preparations
- 3 oz crescenza
- 1/2 cup water
- cooked ham
- leaves sage (or basil)
Steps
Mix the crescenza with a bit of water using a fork.
Pour the flour, yeast, and crescenza into a bowl, add water a little at a time, mix until you get a sticky mixture.
Cover the bowl and let it rest for about half an hour.
After the time has passed, chop 3-4 leaves of sage or basil and add them to the mixture, then mix well.
Heat the oil and with the help of two spoons passed under cold running water, drop small heaps of the mixture into the pan.
Cook and place them as you go on kitchen paper.
Salt and serve with slices of cooked ham.
