Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast for savory dishes (or dry yeast)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsps butter
  • 2 tbsps lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup milk

Preparation

For the recipe you can use either instant yeast or dry yeast and let the dough rest for 1 hour.

  • Pour the flour with the yeast into the mixer and mix.

  • Add the sugar, grated lemon zest, butter, and egg, then knead.

  • Gradually add the milk, it should be firm so adjust if more is needed or not.

  • Take the dough and let it rest for an hour in case of dry yeast.

  • Divide the dough into 15-20 pieces, make small rolls and close into rings.

  • Heat the oil and fry the doughnuts, turning them over, then drain them on kitchen paper and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
