QUICK BREAD CRUST TOMINI, easy and fast, a delicious idea for a quick main course or appetizer of cheese and ham with a light puff pastry without butter and yeast.
The tomini in bread crust are delicious, they can be prepared in 10 minutes and are great to serve both for lunch and dinner, beautiful and elegant. They are usually made with puff pastry, but I have created a lighter pastry without butter.
The recipe for tomini in crust is typical of Piedmont, they are small round cheeses, around 100 g fresh or aged, very creamy, soft, and tasty.

- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Very cheap
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 2
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 2 tomini
- 1.8 oz cooked ham
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 1/3 tbsp water
Steps
Prepare the pastry, pour the flour into a bowl, add the oil and water, and knead well until the dough is smooth. You can use a robot if you prefer.
Roll the dough out thinly on a floured surface and cut into 2 squares.
Wrap the tomini with the cooked ham then cover them with the pastry and seal underneath to prevent leaks.
Place them on a baking sheet lined with paper, brush them with oil, then bake at 356°F for about 20 minutes, the pastry needs to turn golden.
Remove from oven and serve with vegetables.
Bon appétit

For the first time I found this cheese at the supermarket, I obviously knew it already but I never had the chance to try the recipe, at least until today.
I prepared an unleavened bread crust that takes 5 minutes instead of the usual puff pastry, and the crust is perfect.
