Quick Rustic Puff Pastry Croissants
  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Very economical
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 10 Pieces
  • Cooking methods: Oven, Air Fryer
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All seasons

Ingredients

  • 1 roll puff pastry
  • 1 oz diced speck
  • 1 oz mortadella with pistachios
  • 1 oz cooked ham
  • 2 oz provola cheese
  • sesame seeds
  • 1 egg yolk

Steps

With the round pastry you get 8 large croissants, with the rectangular pastry 10 medium croissants.

For convenience, I use a ready-made mix of cold cuts and cheese from the deli counter.

  • Place the pastry on the work surface and cut it in half lengthwise if using the rectangular one.

  • Prepare a mix of cold cuts and provola by dicing everything.

  • Fill the croissants with the cold cuts and provola and seal starting from the base.

  • Curve the tips inward, then brush with the egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  • Bake in the oven at 356°F for about 15 minutes or in the air fryer at 347°F for 10 minutes, turning them over.

    Bon appétit
