QUICK SAVORY LUNA PARK FRITTERS, easy and tasty, scented with oregano, fritters made in a few minutes, a super delicious idea perfect for Carnival.

I wanted an idea different from the usual Carnival sweets, and these savory Luna Park fritters were born just like that, without much thought. Quick dough, few ingredients, and they’re ready for the pan. Crunchy outside, soft inside, one leads to another as it really happens at the amusement park.

These are the classic quick savory fritters, those to prepare at the last minute when friends, hungry children arrive, or you want to bring something tasty to the table without spending hours in the kitchen. The oregano scents everything and makes them irresistible, perfect as a Carnival appetizer, aperitif, or finger food.

This recipe is super smart: no long leavening, no complicated cheeses, just a simple dough that puffs up immediately when fried. The savory Luna Park fritters are liked by everyone because they remind of street food, but homemade and even better.

Useful tips
Use hot oil but not smoking, so the fritters puff up immediately.
Do not press the dough in the pan: they should remain irregular and “rustic”.
If you want a stronger taste, add olives or a pinch of chili pepper.
For a lighter version, you can also cook them in an air fryer, brushing them lightly.
