Quick Soakable Butterless Biscuits
  • Difficulty: Very easy
  • Cost: Very cheap
  • Preparation time: 15 Minutes
  • Portions: 6
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/8 oz sugar
  • 1 1/3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (or seed oil)
  • 1 1/3 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch vanillin

Steps

  • Pour the flour into a bowl, add the baking powder and vanillin, mix.

  • Add the sugar, oil, egg, and milk, work the ingredients, you can obviously use a robot, you will get a very soft dough.

  • With the help of a piping bag without a nozzle, make double breadsticks on the oven tray lined with paper.

  • Make a breadstick and without removing the nozzle, continue going up next to the breadstick and then close it, like a tight zero, without space in between.

  • You can use a bag with a 3/4 inch opening and make just one wider breadstick, so you get twice the cookies.

  • Sprinkle with granulated sugar and bake and cook in the hot oven at 356°F for about 15 minutes, they should be golden.

    Bon appétit
