It’s a simple and tasty idea to bring pizza to the table. Tired of the usual round pizza? Well, prepare the rolled stromboli pizza which is also great with a ready-made dough and once cooked it doesn’t have a crust.
I often prepare the pizza roll, and I must say it is very popular because it is still very soft but much easier to serve even as an appetizer, it can be prepared in advance and reheated in the oven.

Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups cake flour
- 1 tsp fresh yeast
- Half tbsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup ricotta
- tomato sauce
- 5.3 oz salami
- 7 oz provola cheese
Steps
Pour the flour into a bowl, dissolve the yeast in the water and pour it into the bowl, mix, add the salt and start kneading.
Work it a bit until it becomes smooth, place it in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let it rest until it doubles, about 4 hours.
Once risen, roll out the dough and fill it with tomato sauce, ricotta, and salami slices.
Roll it up and let it rest for 20 minutes, brush with tomato sauce and oil.
Preheat the oven to 482°F then bake the roll, lower the temperature to 392°F and bake for 20 minutes and another 5 minutes at 356°F if needed.
Remove from the oven and slice.
