The recipe for the zucchini and ham puff pastry quilt is very simple. Fill the pastry with grated zucchini, cooked ham, and provolone cheese, then close it and create a lattice pattern like a quilt.

You can, of course, fill it as you prefer, great with speck or without zucchini or ham, with whatever you have in the fridge, also delicious with eggplants or peppers.

Rustic Ham and Zucchini Puff Pastry Quilt

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry
  • 3 1/2 oz zucchini
  • 5 1/4 oz cooked ham
  • 3 1/2 oz smoked provolone cheese

Preparation

  • Place the pastry on a sheet of parchment paper and fill with slices of cooked ham and the provolone cut into pieces.

  • Grate the zucchini and add them to the rest of the ingredients, then close the pastry and seal the edges.

  • Prick the pastry with a fork, then draw a lattice pattern with a knife without cutting the pastry into pieces.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 410°F and bake for 15 minutes, then remove from oven and cut following the lines.
