SALMON, MOZZARELLA AND AVOCADO SKEWERS

Why I love them (and why you’ll love them too!)
No need to turn on the oven 🔥
They can be prepared in advance, just keep them covered in the fridge
They are gluten-free, light but flavorful
Perfect for those who want a fresh and chic appetizer but without too many ingredients.

You can also have fun playing with shapes: use long skewers for a dramatic effect, or small toothpicks to create mini finger foods perfect for the aperitif.

And if you want to make them even more delicious, add a drizzle of lemon oil, a sprinkle of pink pepper or some sesame seeds to add crunch and color.

Tips from a busy but organized blogger 😄
Choose good quality smoked salmon, thin but not too salty.
The avocado should be just ripe (soft but not mushy).
For an even fresher version, you can also add some cucumber cubes or mint leaves.
If you want to serve them as a Christmas appetizer, arrange them on a plate with pomegranate seeds: dramatic and festive!
Don’t prepare them too early (maximum 3-4 hours in advance), otherwise the avocado tends to darken.

Light or Vegetarian Variant

You can replace the salmon with cherry tomatoes or grilled zucchini for a vegetarian version, or use salted ricotta cubes instead of mozzarella balls.
