SAMBOUSEK cheese turnovers easy and quick, recipe from the Middle East, crispy filled pastry, fried snacks, delicious finger food perfect for many occasions.

The SAMBOUSEK cheese turnovers are one of my favorite time-savers for quick appetizers or dinners. They originate from the Middle East, particularly Lebanon, Syria, and Turkey, and each country makes them a bit in their own way. The classic version is with melting cheese inside a crispy pastry, but there are a thousand variations: ricotta, spinach, feta, spiced potatoes, or minced meat.

If you are looking for a tasty appetizer or delicious finger food, the SAMBOUSEK cheese turnovers are the perfect solution. These cheese-filled turnovers are prepared in no time and can be fried or baked for a lighter version. Ideal for parties, appetizers, or simply for a quick snack.

Extra tip: you can make them in advance and freeze them raw, so you can bake them directly from the freezer when you need a quick snack. And do not be afraid to experiment with cheese: a mix of mozzarella and feta always satisfies.
