Ingredients

  • 1.6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 7 tbsps butter
  • 1 egg
  • 5 tbsps sugar

  • 1 cup custard (almond)
  • 5.3 oz figs
  • 2.5 tbsps sugar
  • 1 oz almonds

Steps

  • Prepare the pastry, pour the flour into a bowl, add the sugar, egg, and butter in pieces, quickly work the ingredients, make a ball and place in the fridge to rest for 30 minutes.

  • Cut the figs in half, except a few for decoration, and cook them in a pan with the sugar and 3 tablespoons of water for 5-8 minutes, they should soften.

  • After the time has passed, take the pastry and roll it out in a buttered and floured 8-9 inch pan, prick it with a fork.

  • Pour the custard then make a layer of jam and bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.

  • Remove from oven, let cool, decorate with figs and almonds.
