SHORTCRUST APPLE HEART TARTLETS with MASCARPONE, delicious autumn treats to make quickly, perfect idea with apples.
The Shortcrust Apple Heart Tartlets with Mascarpone are those treats that immediately lift your mood: soft, fragrant, with a sweet and juicy apple heart that melts with every bite. A simple and quick autumn recipe, perfect for breakfast, snack or to serve as a small dessert after dinner.
They are made with genuine ingredients that we usually have at home – apples, flour, eggs, sugar, and mascarpone – and in a few minutes, the aroma from the oven fills the whole kitchen.
These soft tartlets with apples and mascarpone are ideal for those who love autumn desserts with apples but are looking for something different from the classic cake. They remain soft for days.
I often make them when I have a couple of apples to use up, maybe a little too ripe: they become perfect for creating a soft and caramelized heart. And if you want to make them even more delicious, add a teaspoon of jam in the center: guaranteed wow effect!
They are the perfect dessert to accompany a cup of hot tea or coffee, and they stay soft for several days under a glass dome. If you want to impress at breakfast or serve a fragrant treat for a snack, these shortcrust apple heart tartlets are the right choice: easy, quick, and irresistible.

- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: Autumn, Winter, and Spring
Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cups flour (the one you usually use)
- 2.8 oz butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 apples
- 1 oz raisins
- 0.7 oz pine nuts
- 8.8 oz mascarpone
- 1/4 cup sugar
Steps
Prepare the shortcrust pastry, mix the flour with the sugar, a pinch of salt, the egg, and the butter.
Soak the raisins in a bowl with water or rum, then wash and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
In a bowl, place the mascarpone with the sugar, raisins, pine nuts, a pinch of salt, and the apples peeled and cut into small pieces, mix everything together.
Roll out the shortcrust pastry and cut out 8 larger disks and 8 smaller ones, obviously adjusting to your mold, I used a 2.75-inch mold and then spread with my hands.
Place half of the disks in the mold, reach the edges, and fill with plenty of filling, then close with the other disks.
Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for about 20 minutes.
Remove from the oven, let cool, and dust with powdered sugar.
Bon appétit
