SMOKED SALMON ROSES quick canapés

SMOKED SALMON ROSES, quick canapés, cold, no cooking needed, ready in a few minutes, a delicious idea perfect as an appetizer for Christmas and festive occasions, elegant and tasty. They are cold, no cooking required, and super elegant.

The base is very simple: soft bread, crostini, small crusty bread rolls then rolled salmon shaped like a rose filled with ricotta, avocado, and chopped walnuts. It takes longer to say it than to make it! And that’s also why they have become a much-loved and sought-after finger food snack.

Moreover, the recipe is very versatile: you can prepare them in advance, store them in the fridge and bring them to the table at the last moment, so you’re already ahead with half the menu. And to be honest, they are so good that they disappear even before reaching the table. But that’s a detail.

If you want to make everything even more festive, you can add a drizzle of honey or a pinch of pink pepper. However, even in the basic version with ricotta + salmon + walnuts, they are perfect, balanced, and really elegant.

Useful Tips
Use well-drained ricotta, it stays firmer and doesn’t soak the bread.
If the bread is too soft, leave it in the air for 2 minutes to firm it up.
You can replace the walnuts with pistachios, almonds, or hazelnuts.
You can prepare them up to 6 hours in advance, but add the walnuts just before serving.
