Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 3/4 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp instant yeast for savory preparations
Steps
Pour the flour into a bowl, add the yeast, salt, mix, the oil and water, mix and knead well until you get a smooth dough.
If it’s too sticky, add a sprinkle of flour.
Roll out the dough to a height of half an inch and cut it with a glass or milk mug, you should get 6-8 flatbreads.
Heat the oil in a skillet and cook the flatbreads with the lid closed, turning them for about 10 minutes in total, you can use the air fryer, oil and cook at 392°F for 12-15 minutes.
Drain on kitchen paper, let cool a bit and cut them in half, fill them as you prefer, provolone, various cheeses, and cold cuts.
If you want the cheese to melt, cook for a few more minutes.
