Speck and Provola Swirls

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Half teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 oz speck
  • 3 1/2 oz smoked provola cheese
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Steps

  • Dissolve the yeast in the water, put the flour in a bowl, add the salt and mix, then add the oil and water and knead well, it should be soft, leave it as it is, close the bowl and let it rest for 2-3 hours.

  • After the time has elapsed, take the dough and place it on a greased sheet of paper if it’s too soft, or on a floured surface, stretch it with your hands and fill with slices of speck and provola.

  • Roll it up and place it in the turned-off oven to rest for 20 minutes.

  • Then turn on the oven, set it to 350°F and bake, cook for 15 minutes, remove and cut into swirls.
