STUFFED BASKETS NEW YEAR’S APPETIZER, easy and quick, single-serving recipe with sandwich bread to make in no time stuffed with salmon or cold cuts.
Very simple and quick to make, the stuffed baskets are a truly delicious New Year’s appetizer, perfect for many occasions with different ingredients, cold cuts, salmon, and cheese.
Of course, you can vary the filling of the sliced bread baskets with whatever you have available in the fridge or as you prefer, based on the menu, great with salmon or olives and cherry tomatoes for a fish menu or with cold cuts for a meat menu.

Ingredients
- 2 slices sandwich bread
- 1 slice salmon
- 1 slice cooked ham
- 1 slice mortadella with pistachios
- 2 olives
- 1 cherry tomato
- to taste arugula
- 0.4 oz salami (mix cold cuts and cheese)
- 0.7 oz fiordilatte
Steps
The doses are indicative.
Cut the bread with a 2.5-inch cutter and place it inside a mini muffin or small pastry mold.
Cook under a hot grill at 450°F for about 3-4 minutes.
Cut the cherry tomatoes into pieces, the cold cuts and salmon into strips, cut the olives and fiordilatte.
Fill the baskets as you prefer, I made the baskets with salmon, arugula, and fiordilatte, olives and tomatoes, ham and fiordilatte, mortadella and fiordilatte.
Then with cubes of cold cuts and cheeses you find already ready in the fridge section.
Serve with pomegranate seeds.
