Sweet Easter Tart with Chocolate Cream

A delight this Easter tart filled with chocolate cream, a very simple dessert to prepare, covered with white glaze and colored sprinkles like the classic Easter holiday desserts.

The recipe for the Easter tart is mine, I liked the idea of a tart to be able to recycle the chocolate eggs, a dessert that wasn’t the usual or the usual Easter tart with ricotta and chocolate.

So very easy to prepare and also quite fast.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 oz dark chocolate 60-69%
  • 1 cup vanilla powdered sugar
  • 1 egg white

Preparation

  • Prepare the basic shortcrust pastry, pour the flour on a pastry board or in the mixer, make a well in the center, add the sugar, diced butter, and the egg, work quickly.

  • Then take the dough, form a ball and let it rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

  • Then prepare the cream, pour the yolk with the sugar into a saucepan and mix with whisks, heat the milk and pour it in a thread over the yolk.

  • Keep mixing with the whisks, then add the sifted flour and cocoa, mix, and also add the dark chocolate.

  • As soon as it thickens, turn off the heat, pour the cream into a bowl, cover with cling film in contact and let it cool.

  • Then take the pastry and divide it into two parts, one slightly larger than the other.

  • Roll out the larger pastry and place it in a 8-9 inch pan, prick it and then fill it with the cream, roll out the other pastry and cover the dessert.

  • Prick it a little and bake in the hot oven at 350°F for 30 minutes.
    Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

  • Whip the egg white almost to stiff peaks and add the powdered sugar, continue to work it to absorb well.

  • Decorate the tart with the glaze and add the colored sugar pearls, then let it air dry.
