- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Very inexpensive
- Preparation time: 20 Minutes
- Portions: 6-8
- Cooking methods: Oven
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 0.4 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- to taste jam
- lemon zest
- 1 pinch salt
Steps
Pour the flour into a bowl or food processor, add the sugar, a pinch of salt, grated lemon zest, the egg, and the butter in pieces, and mix the ingredients well.
Work quickly, make a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap then let it rest for 30 minutes in the fridge.
After the time has passed, take the shortcrust pastry and divide it into two parts, one larger for the base and the other smaller for the strips.
Roll out the pastry in a 9-inch pan lined with paper, make a 1.2-inch edge and fill with the jam, I used homemade plum jam.
Roll out the other pastry and cut strips then arrange them on the dessert and also create a cord to place all around.
Bake in a hot oven at 350°F for about 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool before slicing.
Bon appétit
