From the book, to the blog, to the movie…

The Potage Parmentier is the first recipe that Julie Powell played by Amy Adams makes from the famous “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” by Julia Child published in ’61 and became the favorite book of all housewives or househusbands made in the USA.

From the parmentier to the other 524 recipes, Julie personally experiments in a year with all 524 recipes contained in the famous cookbook and recounts the experience in a blog: “The Julie/Julia Project – Nobody here but we servantless American cooks“.

Julie Powell then wrote a book “Julie & Julia” where she tells the stories of the blog and her life and from which the 2009 film was made.
