Fitoura or fritoura is a traditional sweet of Zakynthos, usually offered at the feast of Agios Dionysios, the patron saint of the island, also known as Dionysios of Zakynthos (1547 – 1622), a Greek Orthodox bishop, considered a saint by the Orthodox Church and remembered on August 24 and December 17.
