Nutella Croissants with Double Puff Pastry

Croissants with Nutella and double puff pastry, if you’re looking for an easy and delicious dessert, this idea is just for you.

To make these croissants even more delicious, I used a rectangular puff pastry divided in two and paired. In addition, I used crunchy hazelnut granules to decorate our desserts. Alternatively, you can also use pistachio granules to create a slight contrast of flavors.

This dessert is nice to prepare at the last minute, it doesn’t require much skill, and above all, you can replace Nutella with your favorite spread.

Below I leave you some simple and delicious desserts to make with puff pastry.

  • Difficulty: Very Easy
  • Cost: Very Cheap
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 6-8 mini croissants
  • Cooking methods: Electric Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: All Seasons

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (rectangular)
  • 6 teaspoons Nutella®
  • 0.5 cup hazelnut granules
  • as needed milk (for brushing)

Tools

  • 1 Baking Sheet
  • 1 Parchment Paper
  • 1 Pastry Wheel
  • 1 Brush
  • 1 Pastry Bag

Steps

  • To make the Nutella Croissants with double puff pastry, first, cut the pastry rectangle in half with a pastry wheel.

Still using the pastry wheel, cut triangles by drawing lines across the entire width of the sheet.

In the video, the movement is clearer.

Place the cream in the pastry bag and, on the wide part of each triangle on one side, add dollops of cream. Leave the triangles on the other side free.

    Overlap them.

Roll up the triangles once paired and form the croissants, rolling the puff pastry onto itself and folding the tips.

Brush with milk, garnish with hazelnut granules, and bake in a preheated fan oven at 356°F (180°C) for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Remove from the oven and enjoy to your liking.
