ICED COFFEE, the quick and refreshing summer cold coffee

The iced coffee is a refreshing, versatile drink capable of combining the aromatic intensity of coffee with the lightness of a cold preparation.

Like the cold coffee cream or water coffee cream, it is prepared in 5 minutes with a few simple steps.

With its endless variations and customizations, it has won over coffee lovers around the world; simple but never banal, it has become a daily pleasure that’s hard to resist.

Perfect in the hottest months, it is appreciated all year round by those seeking a refreshing break but with a less intense taste than usual espresso. The iced coffee lends itself to countless variations; to the classic cold coffee, you can add milk, cream, or flavored syrups to create always different tastes.

The recipe I propose takes into account the countless variations you can create, found at the end of the procedure.

Ingredients

  • 7.05 oz coffee (prepared with a moka pot)
  • 5.29 oz fresh whipping cream (or milk, coconut milk, or plant-based beverage)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (or brown sugar, maple syrup, or sweetener)
  • as needed ice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Tools

  • 1 Moka Pot or an espresso machine
  • 2 Glasses
  • 1 Milk Frother a manual whisk will suffice but is OPTIONAL

Procedure

  • The Iced Coffee recipe is really very simple.

Prepare 200 ml of long coffee with a moka pot, sweeten it, and let it cool slightly.

Add the cream and briefly froth with the milk frother, it will create a pleasant foam on the surface reminiscent of cappuccino; this step is optional, you can skip it by mixing everything with a cocktail spoon.

If you like, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Fill two glasses with ice and pour the coffee beverage you prepared into them.

The Iced Coffee is ready to be served.

  • Coffee – the coffee can also be prepared with an espresso machine or you can use instant coffee

Cream – you can replace it with the same amount of whole milk, coconut milk, or plant-based beverage

Sugar – if you prefer, you can substitute granulated sugar with brown sugar, maple syrup, honey, or calorie-free sweeteners

Vanilla – in the original Iced Coffee, vanilla is always present but can be omitted or replaced with other flavors as desired
