INGREDIENTS FOR CRUMBLE CAKE WITH APPLES AND WALNUTS
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup walnuts (shelled)
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 apples
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 lemon zest (grated)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 cup butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

PREPARATION OF CRUMBLE CAKE WITH APPLES AND WALNUTS
Peel the apples and cut them into pieces. Blend them with the oil until you obtain a cream.
Chop the walnuts until they become flour-like.
In a stand mixer, whip the eggs with the sugar until you get a foamy mixture. Add the apple cream, chopped walnuts, grated lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Mix well.Mix the flours, baking powder, and salt and add everything to the mixture. Mix well. Pour the mixture into the greased and floured pan and level well.
Now prepare the crumble by mixing melted butter, flour, sugar, and cinnamon. You should obtain a crumbly mixture to be distributed over the entire surface of the cake. Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for about 30-35 minutes.
Let it cool and then unmold.
