Ingredients

  • 1 roll puff pastry (round)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 3.5 oz smoked salmon
  • to taste chives
  • as needed milk (for brushing)

Steps

  • To make the Puff Pastry Star with Salmon and Ricotta, in a bowl, mix the ricotta with the salmon cut into pieces, the chives, and if you like, a pinch of fine salt.

    Mix until you get a homogeneous mixture.

  • Spread the obtained mixture on the puff pastry base, with its parchment paper, and distribute it almost to the edges, leveling it well.

  • Then make 4 cuts on opposite sides, without reaching the center.

    Again, cut in half, always stopping before reaching the center of the base.

    Fold the cut corners inward, making them meet in the center.

    Continue until the star’s points are completed.

    From the center, then radiate small cuts and fold them as in the photo.

  • Brush with a little milk.

    Decorate with more chives and bake in a preheated ventilated oven at 385°F for 25 minutes.
