Ingredients
- 3.5 oz carasau bread
- 14 oz stracchino (crescenza is also fine)
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
- to taste salt
- to taste rosemary (optional)
Steps
Start by soaking the carasau bread sheets; they should soften but remain as intact as possible. If they are very large, you can cut them in half first.
Oil a baking tray and make a base of soaked bread, covering the base of the tray.
Fill with stracchino by placing it in spoonfuls on the carasau bread base.
Finish with the other sheets of soaked bread, covering everything well. Finish with a drizzle of oil, a pinch of salt, and, if desired, a bit of rosemary.
Bake in a preheated ventilated oven at 356°F (180°C) for about 20 minutes. The sheets should become golden and crispy, and the cheese should melt.
Serve the carasau bread hot and crispy, also delicious for an aperitif!
