Halloween mummies are a new recipe I created this year for the upcoming holiday, which not everyone celebrates. Nonetheless, it’s always fun to make themed, playful recipes.
This recipe dedicated to Halloween is really simple and quick, just a roll of puff pastry, some jam, and you’re done.
The mummies are filled with raspberry jam, but you can choose another type of jam to your liking, they will still be delicious and spooky.
Let’s have fun making these mummies for our kids, and enjoy your meal!!!
If you make one of my recipes, send me the photos and I will publish them on my page with your name.

Preparation of Halloween Mummies
Take a roll of puff pastry
roll it out and stretch it a bit on each side with the help of a rolling pin, then cut 6 strips of dough all from one side of the puff pastry, or 3 from one side and 3 from another.
Once the strips are made, cut 6 equal rectangles.
On each rectangle, place a generous teaspoon of jam on the side of the rectangle, then fold it over itself to create parcels, sealing them well.
Prepare an egg yolk diluted with a drop of water and brush it on the obtained parcels, wrap the strips of dough around the parcel starting from the top edge of the dough and leaving a small space to place the eyes.
Cut the hazelnuts in half and place them on the mummies to create the eyes.
Now, lightly brush the obtained mummies and bake at 356°F (180°C) for about 15 minutes, checking the cooking.
