Skillet bruschetta is a great solution for when you don’t have much time, but crave some toasted bread. The quickest method is to cook it in a skillet.
To be honest, it can hardly be called a recipe, but I have been asked how to toast bread when a barbecue or similar is not available for outdoor cooking.
I use this method especially in winter when it’s not always possible to have a grill due to the temperatures and nice weather, but I don’t want to give up on a good bruschetta.
The bread cooks quickly, and I can watch it without going in and out of the house, so I can prepare other things while keeping an eye on it.
The result will be really great… see for yourself!
I usually top the bruschetta with chopped tomatoes, simple salt and oil, or sausage paste, or even oil-packed vegetables… In my area, it’s common to enjoy them with a rub of garlic, really great.
You can get creative and enjoy them in many ways, as I know everyone loves bruschetta, right?
What do you usually put on your bruschetta?
I generally choose white bread, like a baguette with a convenient round slice, or bread suitable for bruschetta with a long slice to cut in half.
If you make this or any of my other recipes on my blog, feel free to send me your photos, and I’ll post them on my Facebook page with your name.
