The Valentine’s Day chocolate balls are an idea I had when I saw a photo in a magazine and thought about how much I love chocolate… I thought I must make them similar but dressed for Valentine’s Day.
Here are my chocolaty balls, simple to make and a dessert you can prepare at the last minute, for those who work all day and want to do something nice!
To be honest, I’d been wanting to make them for a few days and today I hurriedly decided to make them, and quickly posted them for you.
If you make them for your other half, I absolutely want to know if they were liked!
What do you say, shall we make them?
If you make this or other recipes from my blog, send me photos of your creations, and I will post them on my Facebook page with your name.

Ingredients to make Valentine’s Day Chocolate Balls
- 1.75 oz Unsweetened cocoa powder
- 4.4 oz Crunchy cookies (like oro saiwa)
- 3.5 oz Almond flour
- 2.1 oz Sugar
- 0.4 cup Whole milk
- 1 tablespoon Rum
- Red wafer flakes (found in stores that have everything for pastry)
Preparation of Valentine’s Day Chocolate Balls
First, you need to crush the cookies; you can crush them with a mixer and then continue by hand, or (as I did) take the food processor, insert the blade for blending, put in the crunchy cookies, blend them well in the processor, then add cocoa, sugar, almond flour, milk, rum and blend again until you get a well-homogenized mixture.
At this point, transfer everything into a bowl, mix well with your hands, and form balls of possibly equal size.
Place them in the refrigerator for about half an hour, then roll them in the red wafer flakes, and they will be ready to serve.
